The Role
Are you a passionate educator ready to make an immediate impact? Blackpool Secondary Academy is seeking a dynamic Teacher of Humanities, with a particular focus on Religious Education, to join our dedicated team.
This is a fixed-term appointment running from your immediate start date until the end of the academic year in July 2026. You will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering a deep understanding of diverse cultures, beliefs, and global perspectives during this crucial period for our students.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Plan and teach high-quality RE and Humanities lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
* Curriculum Excellence: Follow and adapt the KS3/KS4 curriculum to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
* Classroom Leadership: Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment through effective behaviour management.
* Student Progress: Use assessment data to track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Or equivalent (QTLS), with a specialisation in RE or a broader Humanities subject.
* Immediate Availability: You must be ready for an urgent start to provide stability for our students until July 2026.
* Proven Track Record: Experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary setting, with strong classroom management skills.
