Purpose of the Role: Provide a professional transport management service that supports Colas Rail in achieving core business objectives while ensuring compliance with all safety and statutory requirements governing the operation of road vehicles.

Responsibilities
* Provide professional transport management services and advice to Colas Rail vehicle users, including vocational training and guidance on road vehicle responsibilities.
* Develop and maintain Colas Rail’s transport policy to reflect best practice and statutory/mandatory requirements.
* Issue and receipt of company vehicles, manage administrative tasks, and handle disposal in line with internal processes and supplier guidelines.
* Administer Dartford Crossing, London Congestion Zone, and related fines; keep company records accurate and up to date.
* Maintain records of authorised drivers and vehicles; collect and report on vehicle operating costs to monitor budgets.
* Manage fuel cards, telematics system administration, and related equipment such as key cards.
* Coordinate short-term vehicle hire bookings when requested.
* Undertake other duties as required within your capabilities.
Person Specification / Qualifications
* Substantial experience in road vehicle management, including knowledge of road vehicle legislation, preferably a CPC holder.
* Ability to communicate effectively and influence staff and suppliers at all levels.
* Thorough knowledge of supply-style contracts, service level provisions, and management of the same.
* Good level of Microsoft Office, Email, Excel and Word skills.
* Full Driving Licence.
