About the Role This unique and rewarding role requires a blend of youth work expertise and excellent classroom management skills. You will not be expected to teach, but instead will be a key pastoral presence responsible for supporting student engagement, managing behaviour, and fostering a positive, productive learning atmosphere across a range of classes. Key Responsibilities: Pastoral Support: Act as a dedicated Youth Worker for assigned groups of students, providing emotional and social support, mentoring, and guidance. Behaviour Management: Proactively manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a calm and focused environment when the class teacher is absent or focused on instruction. Cover Management: Supervise classes during periods of teacher absence (non-teaching cover), overseeing set work and ensuring students remain on task.
