What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations, giving clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Delivering technical dispensary tasks, ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions).
3. Complying with legal and professional requirements and guidance in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser are required. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is necessary, with support provided to complete training within 6 months if not already done. We also support professional development towards NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services for registration with GPHC and potential progression to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.
