F&B Assistant - Evenings & Weekends - Woking
VISION OF THE ROLE: Contributes to the delivery of all aspects of the Food & Beverage operation, events, and functions. To maximise revenue through casual / ad-hoc sales. To safeguard the long-term success of Burhill Golf Ltd for its stakeholders, Food & Beverage Assistants will display determination and focus in supporting the Food and Beverage Manager to drive all elements of the Food & Beverage area to the highest level, ensuring that Hoebridge is recognised as the premier family-centric golf and leisure destination of the surrounding area.
MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS: The Food & Beverage Assistant will be measured against key criteria:
* Operating profit (derived from F&B, events, functions)
* Annual measurement of staff engagement
* Customer loyalty measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS)
* Pass audits
* Food & Beverage Manager reviews, General Manager reviews, operational feedback, and personal objectives
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain positive and effective relationships with members and guests through an active presence in the restaurant and events areas, ensuring all customers and members receive a warm welcome and consistent high standard of service.
* Greet customers, utilising names where possible. Offer menus, inform of specials and menu changes, make suggestions, and answer questions regarding food, beverages, and service.
* Assist in the care and maintenance of all assets, inventory, and resources of the Food & Beverage division.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures at all times.
* Ensure personal compliance within the BGL Academy is 100% at all times.
* Adhere to all BGL procedures and policies, e.g., attendance, timekeeping, dress code, appearance.
* Review daily bookings, functions sheets, table reservations, etc.
* Effectively upsell other menu items, e.g., appetisers, desserts, mixed drinks, wine, coffee, etc.
* Process orders through the ESP/check order system and serve accordingly.
* Check orders for completeness and quality standards. Serve courses at appropriate intervals. Package orders for take-out if needed.
* Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks adhering to Weights and Measures compliance.
