As a Primary Teaching Assistant (Primary TA), you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, both in and outside the classroom. You will work alongside class teachers to deliver targeted support, encourage active learning, and help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Primary Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils needing additional help. Support children with reading, writing, and numeracy skills. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes. Encourage pupil participation and independence. Support students with varying needs, including those with mild learning difficulties. Requirements for a Primary Teaching Assistant (Primary TA) : Experience working in a primary school or with children in an educational setting. CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistance is desirable but not essential. A degree in Education, Psychology or a similar field is desirable but not essential. A nurturing, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
