The Opportunity…
This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of helping Britain achieve net zero. Supporting our Nuclear teams responsible for the operations of our Nuclear sites across the UK, as well as the construction of HPC (Hinkley Point C) and SZC (Sizewell C). Both are mega infrastructure Nuclear New Build projects, each project will provide low carbon electricity for 6 million homes for 60 years in the UK.
Come and join us in one of our Nuclear teams as an Electrical Engineer across Nuclear Services, Nuclear Operations, UK EPR Design Centre, Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. We currently have opportunities across our Nuclear family, which would allow you to progress from design, construct, operate to decommissioning. This is an exciting time to be part of EDF and help us achieve Net Zero
We have a number of opportunities within our functions from generation, power transmission and distribution, batteries, earthing, ancillary systems and safety case management. Who you are…
You will need strong technical engineering skills based on electrical engineering disciplines ideally on large engineering/infrastructure projects. An understanding of EPR design and the nuclear fuel cycle would be of benefit and a good knowledge of the UK Nuclear Regulations and Legislation.
You’ll be motivated, self-starting and pragmatic with the ability to work across multiple discipline teams in driving the development, implementation and resolution of technical topics and issues. You will also understand the bigger picture and be able to develop and execute innovative approaches to delivery, for the benefit of the project.
