A fast-growing FinTech firm is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal team on a 24-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The Role:
You’ll be a key legal advisor, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure robust, commercially sound agreements and legal compliance. The role suits a confident, proactive lawyer with a background in commercial, IT, or technology law.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and negotiate complex SaaS contracts with global financial institutions
* Lead negotiations with clients and suppliers
* Advise on existing agreements and risk mitigation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals
* Manage external counsel to ensure cost-effective legal support
* Monitor legal and regulatory developments
Ideally you will have:
* Strong PQE in commercial, IT, or technology law
* In-house experience in FinTech, SaaS, or tech-led businesses
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess legal risk
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple workstreams
* Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
