SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay: £95 - £115 per day

Long Term Futures is partnering with a Croydon based primary school to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The school is well-regarded for its inclusive approach and provides a supportive environment for staff and pupils alike, particularly within its specialist resource provision.
Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver interventions designed to meet specific EHCP targets.
Assist with the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils, ensuring they feel safe and included.
Use visual aids and sensory tools (such as PECS or Makaton) to facilitate communication and learning.
Collaborate with the class teacher and external therapists to monitor and record student progress.Essential Candidate Requirements
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, whether in a school, care, or personal setting.
A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach to learning.
Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and a willingness to learn new techniques.
Strong team-working skills and the ability to take initiative in the classroom.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).What Long Term Futures Offers
