We are seeking an experienced C&I Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of a hydrogen generation project in Methil, Fife. This is a 6-month contract working on the Control & Instrumentation commissioning activities. You will be involved in all C&I commissioning execution as part of a multi-disciplined team, reporting directly to the Site Commissioning Manager. You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant commissioning of complex instrumentation and control systems across this strategic low-carbon energy project. What You Will Need: HNC in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent time-served C&I commissioning experience in energy, process, or hydrocarbon industries Proven expertise in instrumentation installation checks, calibration, loop checking, controls tuning, and multiple HMI formats Hands-on experience commissioning PLC systems (SCADA, ICSS, SIS, ESD), transmitters, gas detection systems, and safety-critical equipment Strong technical competency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, control schematics, procedures, and technical specifications CompEx certification (Ex01-Ex04) for hazardous area work would be a significant advantage What’s in It for You: Negotiable hourly rate Opportunity to work on a cutting-edge hydrogen energy project.
