An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to undertake the role of Dementia Support Worker to join our dedicated nursing team on Llynfor ward at Ysbyty Bryn Beryl.
Main duties of the job
Ysbyty Bryn Beryl has an exciting opportunity within Llynfor ward, seeking a Band 3 dementia support worker. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience in dementia care, keen to help develop the service for the future. This demanding role requires commitment and a positive approach to change. You will need excellent communication skills, high clinical standards, and a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
This role involves supporting dementia patients during their hospital stay, demonstrating care and compassion, especially for patients with delirium. The successful applicant will be supported to develop skills and ensure high-standard care is delivered.
This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
