Kitchen Assistant - SEN School | £11-£13 per hour | September Start
Are you a reliable and capable kitchen assistant looking to make a real difference in a school setting?
We're recruiting on behalf of a supportive SEN school for a Kitchen Assistant to join their team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a meaningful role, supporting young people in a nurturing educational environment.
Hours: 10:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (hours may differ)
Pay: £11 - £13 per hour (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
* Support daily kitchen operations and food preparation
* Follow health & safety and hygiene standards
* Serve meals to children and staff with a friendly, approachable manner
* Take instruction from the kitchen lead while also showing initiative
* Engage positively with students who have SEMH needs
About You / Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is essential
* Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Calm, personable, and confident when interacting with children
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
* Understanding or experience of working with young people with additional needs is a plus – but not essential
