Are you an experienced CMM Inspector seeking a fresh challenge in a high-tech engineering environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading precision engineering business that supplies critical industries including aerospace, defence, and nuclear.
The Role
As a CMM Inspector, you'll be responsible for carrying out inspections at multiple stages of the machining process - including first-off, final inspection, and FAIR checks - ensuring customer requirements are fully met.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Performing accurate inspections using CMM software (ideally PC-DMIS)
Writing inspection programmes from 2D drawings and 3D models
Providing feedback to machine operators on product non-conformities
Supporting supervisors with technical queries and highlighting training needs
Driving continuous improvement within inspection and quality processes
What We're Looking For
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach
Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings & 3D models
Skilled in CMM software (PC-DMIS preferred, others considered)
Solid engineering background with knowledge of quality management systems (QMS)
Understanding of ISO9001 requirements (advantageous)
Familiarity with inspection tools, reports, and manufacturing techniques
Experience in CNC machining (preferred)
IT literate (Excel & PowerPoint essential)
Flexibility to work additional hours if required
