About The Role
PXC is pivoting to full fibre connectivity and is committed to take its Partners on the journey, unlocking profitable growth, whilst maximising value across the whole portfolio. As a member of the Pre‑Sales Team, you will be at the centre of this transformation.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across the Sales, Commercial, Network and Technology functions to be the design authority on complex network solutions, building technical relationships with customers and working with service management to ensure the right solutions are proposed. BAU activity for the role includes being the trusted advisor to the customer by acting in a ‘CTO’ capacity for PXC and engaging up to board level within their organisation.
The Pre‑Sales consultant will articulate ‘why PXC’ to the customer whilst ensuring operational viability of any proposed solution and supporting our fibre first strategy by transitioning from legacy to future services.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for technical qualification and technical guidance to our partners (Acting as a trusted advisor).
- Creation of high-level design documentation for the e2e solution or service.
- Accountable for the most effective / efficient e2e solution design and for operationally compliant solutions.
- Understands product roadmap and pro-actively designs solutions that align with the future portfolio / TT strategy.
- Working with product, network and technology teams to implement the standardisation or productisation of new solutions.
What Will Make You Successful in this Role
- Subject matter / industry expertise with a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and technology evolution.
- Knowledge of telecommunications technologies i.e. optical, MPLS networks, access products, voice services and cloud technologies, with demonstrable depth in at least one discipline.
- Great stakeholder management managing internal and external customers with multiple opinions / requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills.
- The ability to prioritise / manage workstack, prepare proposals, present solutions and show resilience when needed.
- Have experience of unified comms, managed services and ancillary products such as Wi‑Fi, LAN and enhanced monitoring.
- Have a continuous improvement mentality.
- Be an innovative thinker who can respond quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Be a proven team player who wins when the team wins.
- Have equivalent industry knowledge and experience with Openreach & Altnet networks and products.
