Cranleigh is seeking an exceptional Head of Aquatics to lead and elevate our swimming programme across both Cranleigh Senior and Cranleigh Prep. This is a pivotal leadership role for a visionary coach who can bridge the gap between early water confidence and elite national competition.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Design and implement a seamless long-term athlete development pathway (ages 3–18).
* Elite Performance: Identify and nurture talent, working with Scholars and Strength & Conditioning staff to drive regional and national success.
* Coaching Excellence: Deliver technically focused coaching and mentor assistant coaches to maintain high standards.
* Operational Management: Act as Chief Lifeguard, overseeing pool safety, compliance, and aquatic budgets.
* Recruitment: Collaborate with Admissions and Directors of Sport to attract talented swimmers through masterclasses and outreach.
Person Specification
* Proven Track Record: Experience developing swimmers from beginners to performance levels.
* Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of early years development and competitive race strategies.
* Inspiring Leader: Ability to drive participation across all abilities while maintaining a high-performance mindset.
* Qualifications: Relevant coaching and lifeguarding certifications (or willingness to obtain).
