Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist – Barnet
It is an exciting time to join our teams in Barnet and we are seeking enthusiastic and skilled colleagues to join us as we build on existing models of care and introduce new ways of working.
Our transformation plans over the next 12 months will include further integration with primary care, planned and unplanned care models, and a greater emphasis on population health. All being delivered with the support and leadership of a forward-thinking Senior Management Team.
You will be able to contribute to the creation of what that looks like as well as positively impacting and enhancing the experiences of our patients in Barnet.
You will provide day‑to‑day clinical care in a supported environment and within a dynamic team. Providing day‑to‑day professional leadership, you will ensure the needs of patients are placed at the centre of care delivery while providing assurance that standards of clinical care within a designated area is of the highest standard attainable.
Responsibilities
* Setting and maintaining standards of care and deploy, co‑ordinate and supervise the Podiatry team and learners as required.
* Providing leadership and management to a team of community podiatrists and other staff covering a specified locality.
* Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound and up‑to‑date clinical skills and effective clinical risk assessments adhering to evidence‑based policies and procedures.
* Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering, and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning process.
* Delegating appropriate duties to qualified and unqualified members of the nursing team throughout the working day and ensuring smooth transition of patient care to the out‑of‑hours services if necessary.
* Ensuring that the dignity and religious and cultural beliefs of individual patients and staff members are respected.
* Being responsible for the team's assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised podiatry care to patients living in the community.
