Responsibilities
* Daily home life: driving children to and from school, appointments and visits (a full UK manual driving licence is essential).
* Teaching valuable life skills, such as meal preparation and household chores.
* Creating lasting memories through engaging activities, outings, and holidays.
* Providing support tailored to the young person’s needs, either one‑to‑one or two‑to‑one.
Position Details
* Full‑time role within a cluster of homes; average 56.4 hours per week, including sleep hours.
* Shift pattern: one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours), although the rota may vary across homes.
* Collaborate with a team across multiple locations in a short journey of each other.
Training and Development
* Full induction and shadow shifts commence on day one.
* Support from manager and the in‑house Learning and Development team.
* 100% funding for a Level 3 SVQ/NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care.
* Career review after induction, training and minimum qualifications are completed.

* Familiarity with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies.
* Existing PVG/DBS certificate.
