Pertemps are currently working with a global company who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team based in the Glasgow area. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and monitoring financial performance for the business unit operations. You will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintain financial records, and work closely with various teams to provide financial analysis and recommendations. This role will pay circa £26k. Responsibilities: Manage financial transactions for business unit operations, including invoicing, payments, and account reconciliation. Monitor financial performance and prepare financial reports on a regular basis. Maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents. Work closely with various teams, including operations, procurement, and legal, to ensure compliance with accounting and financial policies and procedures. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support decision-making. Manage budgeting and forecasting Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
