We’re looking for a strategic and data-driven Senior Base, Retention & Loyalty Manager to lead our efforts in driving customer value, reducing churn, and building long-term loyalty across the TalkTalk Consumer base. This role sits within the Commercial team and plays a critical part in shaping and executing our customer lifecycle strategy.
You’ll be responsible for managing base performance, developing retention and loyalty initiatives, and ensuring that all customer-facing activity is prioritised and aligned across the business. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams including Data, Marketing Comms, Product, and Regulatory, and will be a key voice in senior and board-level conversations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own and drive thebase lifecycle strategy, including cohort management and churn prevention.
2. Lead the development and execution ofdata-led retention and loyalty campaigns, working closely with the Marketing Comms team.
3. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Reporting teams to ensure accurate and timely trading volume and value reporting, especially as we transition toKraken.
4. Partner with stakeholders across the business toprioritise base-related activities, including regulatory communications and commercial initiatives.
5. Define and deliver strategies thatgrow customer lifetime value (CLV)and reduce churn across both base and acquisition segments.
6. Ensure strongcollaboration and momentumacross teams, including setting up regular working sessions and governance.
7. Present insights, strategies, and performance updates tosenior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
8. Utilise platforms such asPega, Braze, or similarto build and optimise customer journeys.
9. Manage and influenceP&L performancerelated to retention and loyalty initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required:
10. Proven experience inbase lifecycle management, retention, and loyalty strategy.
11. Strong track record ofdriving value growth and reducing churnthrough innovative and data-led approaches.
12. Deep understanding ofcustomer segmentation, cohort analysis, and lifecycle marketing.
13. Experience working in amatrix organisation, with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
14. Excellent communication andpresentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
15. Hands-on experience withcustomer engagement platforms(e.g., Pega, Braze).
16. Commercial acumen withP&L ownership or contribution experience.
17. Ability to translate data into actionable insights and build compelling business cases.
