Cure Talent is delighted to partner a leading UK manufacturer specializing in the design and production of high-quality packaging machinery solutions for the medical device industry. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join this company’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and will play a crucial role in designing and developing packaging machinery, automation equipment, jigs and fixtures to meet both company and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver mechanical design expertise across the full project lifecycle, from concept, design, and build through to testing and commissioning * Design components, mechanisms, and assemblies in SolidWorks, producing detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials * Support procurement and subcontract manufacture, selecting suitable materials, components, and manufacturing methods * Produce and maintain mechanical and technical documentation, including Technical Files, Operator Instructions, and Maintenance Instructions * Ensure projects meet performance, quality, regulatory, Health and Safety, and continuous improvement requirements What We’re Looking For: * Experience in designing packaging or automation equipment * Degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field * Experience working with medical packaging and/or medical devices * Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) * Understanding of engineering and workshop machinery If this sounds like you and you would thrive in a collaborative, fast paced medical device engineering environment, we would love to hear from you
