The Role
A large and inclusive 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland is seeking an Inclusion Support Assistant to join its dedicated pastoral and SEND team. This role focuses on ensuring all pupils — particularly those with additional needs — can fully access learning and feel supported within the school environment.
You will provide a blend of in-class support, small group interventions and targeted pastoral guidance.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with SEND and additional needs in lessons
* Deliver targeted intervention sessions
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement
* Work closely with teachers, SENCO and pastoral staff
* Monitor progress and contribute to support plans
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience supporting young people in education or similar settings
* Understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
* Calm, patient and professional approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
