Roles that require PVG Membership
Please note that from 1 April 2023, candidates applying for roles requiring PVG membership will need to cover the cost. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above, including teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour).
The Council will initially pay for the PVG membership (£18 for existing members or £59 for non-members), and this cost will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
Job purpose/about the role
To collaborate with and support School Aged Childcare teams in planning and delivering effective Out of School Care that meets the needs of children and their families, ensuring wellbeing and enhancing play experiences and outcomes for all service users.
Minimum requirements:
* Good written and numerical skills, demonstrated through Standard Grades/National 4 or 5 qualifications
Key skills:
* Effective communication, including non-verbal, verbal, and written communication
* Strong observational and listening skills
