DFG Surveyor – Social Housing
Location: Leicester
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £30–£35 per hour (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced DFG Surveyor to join a social housing organisation in Leicester on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a DFG Surveyor to manage a varied portfolio of Disabled Facilities Grant adaptations, helping residents remain safe and independent in their homes.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake surveys and technical assessments for adaptation works.
Prepare specifications, schedules of work, drawings, and cost estimates.
Manage DFG-funded projects from initial referral through to completion.
Oversee contractors and carry out site inspections.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Liaise with occupational therapists, residents, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation.
Certify completed works and maintain accurate project records.Typical Adaptation Projects
Level-access showers and wet rooms.
Stairlifts and through-floor lifts.
Access ramps and pathways.
Door widening and accessibility improvements.
Kitchen adaptations.
Bespoke disability adaptations.Requirements
Previous experience delivering Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) projects.
Experience within social housing, housing associations, local authorities, or adaptation services.
Strong technical surveying and project management skills.
Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Full UK driving licence preferred.What's on Offer
