Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work on a full time basis for general cover and possible 1-2-1 support with children across all key stage classes for a Welsh-medium primary school in RCT.
Working hours will be 8:30am-3:30pm during term times.
This position is a great opportunity if you are looking for consistency. The children you will be working with will require extra support with communication skills as some of the children maybe non-verbal. They will also need help focusing in lesson times and have access to additional learning tools to help them reach their maximum potential. The successful candidate will need to implement inventive learning techniques to engage the pupil, some with socializing difficulties, and general additional learning needs.
The ideal candidate must:
1. Be fluent in Welsh and English
2. Have a proactive attitude
3. Have strong literacy and numeracy skills
4. Be capable of monitoring behavioural needs and supporting pupils with low self-esteem
5. Have a calm demeanour and encouraging nature
6. Be committed
