You’ll Be Responsible For

* Managing the construction of MEP services as part of the project MEP team, reporting to the project lead and ensuring compliance with Mace standards.
* Accountable for the construction aspects of MEP services and the management of the site environment, programme, health, safety & wellbeing, quality & commissioning of the project.
* Liaising and coordinating with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the client, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders.
* Managing the programme review process with trade specialists, checking for productivity, key issues and blockers, using digital technologies to keep the project/package on schedule.
* Managing the quality assurance process, ensuring a high level of installation quality and that all trade contractors and consultants follow the agreed process.
* Implementing delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuring key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and sequencing are achieved.
* Implementing commissioning strategies in line with Mace commissioning standards, including IST approach, ATPs and soft landings.
* Managing project close‑out to ensure all elements are delivered to a high standard, such as commissioning, as‑built drawings and QA/snagging.
* Proactively identifying risk and agreeing mitigation plans.
* Working collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during delivery.


You’ll Need To Have

* Accreditation with CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE, CIOB.
* Proficient knowledge of a technical trade, including installation and testing methods, best practice and prefabrication to supervise, plan and quality‑control packages or systems.
* Basic knowledge of other technical trades, including installation techniques, prefabrication and best practice to coordinate with other systems.
* Basic knowledge of construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies to coordinate with build elements.
* Basic knowledge of commercial management to assist commercial teams with control of packages such as clean‑up notices, good receipts and contract charges.
* Proficient knowledge of planning processes and management, with understanding of key construction release requirements, critical path, work scheduling and commissioning activities to plan and control a package or system.
* Proficient knowledge of health, safety & welfare core elements such as working from height, electrical safety, fire safety, logistics and lifting, to ensure safe management of supply‑chain packages.
* Proficient knowledge of quality assurance processes and commissioning of single systems to complete their package or system of responsibility and assist integration.
* Basic knowledge of digital setting‑out and scanning technologies.


You’ll Also Have

* Proven track record in delivering projects exceeding £5m+ MEP value.
* Experience in the relevant construction sector.
* Demonstrated track record of successful projects and contributions.
* Proficiency in building services or a specified engineering discipline.
* Drive high standards and ensure consistency.
* Effective stakeholder management.
* Good communication skills – written, oral and listening.
* Innovative and adaptable; not fazed by challenges and open to new ways of working.
* Collaborative and inclusive, harnessing collective power for impact and progress.
