We require deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, financial controls, audit requirements, fraud risk mitigation, segregation of duties, and access control design. We need experience working client-side alongside implementation partners. We require the ability to operate at both a strategic design level and a hands-on delivery level. We prefer experience within Multi-Academy Trusts, education, or public sector environments. We need knowledge of multi-entity finance structures. We require understanding of VAT complexity and banking/payment integrations. We are looking for someone who is credible and confident in challenging suppliers constructively. We need someone comfortable operating in programme recovery environments. We require a strong focus on controls, quality, and assurance. Responsibilities: We will have you take ownership of a live, in-flight Sage Intacct implementation. We will expect you to conduct a rapid diagnostic of the current system build and configuration. We will have you benchmark the solution against best practice and contracted functionality. We will have you define what good looks like and ensure that it is delivered. We will expect you to challenge and influence the implementation partner where necessary. We will have you strengthen financial controls across P2P, payments, supplier and bank controls, and access and segregation of duties. We will have you implement programme discipline, including planning, governance, and RAID management. We will expect you to support delivery through go-live and initial post-implementation stabilisation. We will have you provide independent oversight and act as the client-side design authority. We will expect you to provide assurance, leadership, and programme recovery support. This is a high-impact, remote assignment with strong senior stakeholder visibility, an immediate start, and travel required to Blackburn to meet our team and stakeholders.
