We’re expanding our Dementia Services team at Dougie Mac and are looking for compassionate Dementia Support Workers to deliver our growing 1-1 community-based service. ?? About the Role You’ll work directly with people affected by dementia, providing flexible, person-centred support to help individuals engage or re-engage in social activities of their choosing. This may include support at home or in the community. You’ll be matched with individuals for regular sessions each week, supporting their wellbeing and helping to reduce social isolation. This is a rewarding opportunity to build trusted relationships and make a real difference. Key Responsibilities Support individuals to take part in meaningful activities on a one-to-one basis Promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing Maintain accurate records and report changes as required Provide transport using your own vehicle (expenses reimbursed) ?? What We’re Looking For NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent Experience of supporting people with dementia A caring, empathetic approach with strong communication skills Ability to work independently and use initiative Basic IT and record-keeping skills Full UK driving licence and daily access to a car Why Join Dougie Mac?
