London based international bank, seek an experienced Relationship Manager/Business Development Manager to join the bank on a rolling 12 month FTC to help source and originate lending opportunities, primarily in property finance (Buy-to-Let and development finance) and some Hotel Finance through brokers, introducers, developers, and direct client relationships
Key Responsibilities
* Actively generate new leads and contribute to building a strong and sustainable lending pipeline for the Bank.
* Engage with clients to understand funding requirements and propose suitable lending solutions in line with Bank policies.
* Support structuring of real estate finance transactions from origination through to disbursement.
* Develop and maintain relationships with professional landlords, SPVs, LLPs, and property investors.
* Conduct client discussions to assess investment objectives, rental yields, and financing needs.
* Perform initial screening of credit proposals including borrower profile, LTV, DSCR, rental yield, and asset quality.
* Carry out preliminary affordability and rental coverage assessments in line with internal credit policy and UK PRA guidelines.
* Collect and verify required documentation for underwriting (income proofs, tenancy agreements, valuations, rental projections, etc.).
Essential Experience Required
* 4–5 years of experience in new business development/origination lending, or financial services, with exposure to credit origination/sales.
* Good understanding of UK Buy-to-Let mortgage market, including rental stress tests, ICR, &basic underwriting parameters.
* Familiarity with FCA and PRA regulatory environment.
