Overall job purpose
An exciting opportunity to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal members voluntary liquidation assignments with the Restructuring National Members Voluntary Liquidation team.
You will assist in the delivery of orderly wind downs, corporate reorganisation assignments, and work on members voluntary liquidation appointments across a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring that clients and other interested parties receive a quality service in all respects.
Responsibilities
1. Complete assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory obligations, including confirming arrangements with the client, company, or appointer, such as costs and billing.
2. Work closely with team members to plan and execute assignments, potentially managing cases, following guidance provided. This may include:
* Providing training and support to junior staff within the team.
* Progressing Members Voluntary Liquidations from start to finish.
* Assisting with engagement letters and ancillary documents.
* Completing KPIs for approval.
* Ensuring diary lines are completed timely.
* Inputting data into internal systems.
* General case administration including billing.
* Members Voluntary Liquidation experience is preferred, with opportunities to develop further skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
1. Understand client challenges and develop solutions with the Partner/Director and team, including:
* Dealing with pre-appointment matters.
* Attending initial meetings.
* Communicating with clients.
* Analyzing information received.
* Advising on wind down scenarios.
* Collaborating on group reorganization projects.
2. Assist with client onboarding procedures and timely completion of CEAP.
3. Complete jobs within budget, discussing any issues with the assignment partner and client, especially regarding overruns or significant changes.
4. Liaise with shareholders, directors, and other parties, practicing excellent client service.
5. Coordinate with other departments.
6. Monitor work profitability and recoverability, bill clients promptly.
7. Assist with marketing activities as needed.
8. Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
9. Maintain health and safety awareness and report concerns.
10. Perform other duties within the scope of the role as directed by management.
Personal and professional qualities
* Experience in client handling.
* Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Insolvency roles; CPI qualification is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with a commercial outlook.
* Effective communication skills for internal and external contacts.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
* Interest in promoting the service line internally and externally.
