Time Appointments have been instructed to recruit for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a forward-thinking business based in Felixstowe. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the accounts function by supporting the Financial Controller in the smooth running of the accounts department as required, and assisting with the completion of management accounts. Skills & Experience Required: * A minimum of 2 years in a similar accounting role * AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or currently studying towards) * Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices * Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Detail orientated, with strong attention to detail and accuracy * Effective communication and interpersonal skills Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Reviewing of job profitability and preparing systems for closedown each month * Preparing supplier payment runs and dealing with supplier queries * Supplier account reconciliations * Managing the interface between industry software and the financial systems * Coding Overhead invoices * Review of overheads preparing accruals and prepayments as required * Entering daily bank transactions, completing a daily bank reconciliation * Preparing intercompany schedules for group reporting ensuring all balances are agreed in line with group policy * Preparing and posting fixed asset transactions * Revaluation of foreign transactions (debtors/creditors and bank accounts) * Calculation of bad debt provision * Preparation of management accounts for review by Financial Controller and Managing director * EC sales and VAT returns and other statutory returns as required * Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts * Supporting the Financial Controller with the audit process * Assisting with Audit for both Entities * And any other duties relating to Month End/Quarter End & Year End Benefits: * Competitive Salary * Pension Scheme * Onsite parking
