A client within the Public Sector based in Wrexham is currently recruiting for a Chartered Civil Engineer to join their Civil Engineering Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Highways and Drainage design environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to provide expert civil engineering support across highways and drainage design projects, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring quality, client-focused deliverables in line with national standards. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Undertaking detailed drainage and highways design using AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or similar • Mentoring and supporting graduate engineers and technicians across multiple offices • Delivering design services and ensuring operational efficiency across multiple client projects The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: • Chartered membership with CIWEM, ICE and/or CIHT • A minimum of 3 years' experience in highways and drainage design • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow (or similar design software) The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Understanding and application of Section 278, 38, and 104 agreements • Familiarity with CIRIA design guides, BRE Digest, and BS EN 752 • Strong commercial awareness and experience preparing specifications and reports The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
