Your goal will be to improve the quality of care and reduce morbidity and mortality for patients needing resuscitation and emergency medical or trauma care by delivering training, assessment, and support to healthcare professionals. This ensures they have the necessary knowledge and skills to manage patients of all ages according to national and international guidelines, as well as local policies and procedures.
The post holder will work independently with discretion within broad occupational policies related to resuscitation training. Responsibilities include attending resuscitation, medical, and trauma emergencies, providing support and guidance to the team leader, auditing events, and providing feedback to team members.
You will also audit resuscitation calls, activities, and outcomes, and assist in developing training programs based on audit findings. Additionally, you will support the Resuscitation Practitioner & Clinical Skills Manager in delivering comprehensive resuscitation services to all Service Level Agreement contractors.
Welsh Skills (Desirable): While Welsh speaking skills are not essential, they are considered an advantage during shortlisting and selection. This entails speaking and listening at Level 3 (CEFR B2 or above), which includes basic conversations with patients about their health.
