Purpose of the Job
We are seeking an ambitious, passionate and imaginative English teacher to join and complement the friendly, supportive and dedicated professionals within our English department team.
Responsibilities
* Meet all requirements of the Teachers’ Standards.
* Implement, deliver and contribute to the schemes of learning within the English curriculum area.
* Shape the learning experience to motivate and encourage students to achieve their full potential.
* Monitor the progress of students and provide support to ensure personal and academic growth.
* Use a variety of delivery methods to stimulate learning, appropriate to student abilities.
* Prepare and update subject materials.
* Ensure a high‑quality learning experience for students that meets internal and external quality standards.
* Assess, record and report on attendance, progress, development and attainment of students using the school’s Assessment Policy and appropriate IT systems.
* Participate in Parent/Carer Information Evenings.
* Set and mark work appropriate to the needs of each student and provide constructive feedback, particularly through live marking, to facilitate progression.

Salary: Market appropriate.
Position Type: Temporary Maternity Cover. Post open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
