Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 and small group basis. This role will allow you to support a child's educational and emotional development, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.

Your Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for a child with ASD, both in class and during tailored interventions
* Assist with creating and implementing personalised learning plans to meet the child's individual needs
* Support the child in social interactions, helping them to build communication and behavioural skills
* Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, where the child feels supported and understood
* Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies accordingly
* Encourage independence while offering the right level of support when needed
* Assist with tasks such as phonics, literacy, numeracy, and general classroom management
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children with ASD (desirable but not essential)
* A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children with additional needs
* A genuine interest in helping children reach their full potential
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A willingness to learn and develop within the role
* Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential
