Working Hours: This post is a 27 hour post – Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9am - 5pm.
Our Rowan House Service is an intensive support service designed to promote recovery and improve social inclusion for adults with mental illness. It also supports peoples transition back to community living. The service is commissioned and regulated by Wiltshire Council. It is not Care Quality Commission Registered Care, nor is it solely housing-related support, but provides an innovative approach to the delivery of time-limited, outcome-focused care and support tailored to each person’s needs.
How I will make a difference?
I provide key worker support to a specified number of service users, including one to one individual support and liaison with other mental health agencies on behalf of people who use our services.
1. I always have the individual’s needs at the forefront, working to the recovery model and using communication, motivation and coaching skills to support the service user to achieve their goals and aspirations.
2. I develop a rapport with service users based on respect and honesty and work within clear professional boundaries and the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.
3. I enable and encourage service users to find out about local services and facilities within their community and facilitate access to alternative services where specific needs are identified.
4. I am familiar with individual Care/Recovery Plans and support people who use our services in achieving their goals.
