The Oxford Prevention and Early detectioN (OPEN) service is a leading CHR-P (clinical high risk for psychosis) clinic dedicated to detecting psychosis before onset and providing state-of-the-art preventive interventions. We are offering a full-time Clinical Fellow in Preventive Psychiatry, providing an opportunity to combine cutting-edge clinical work with translational research in early psychosis.
Career development
We prioritise candidates who already have clinical academic experience and wish to develop a clinical academic career. You will receive structured support for DPhil applications and early career fellowship proposals, alongside opportunities to publish, present at conferences, and embed within Oxford’s internationally recognised psychosis research community. You will also be offered support for personal development and clear pathways for career progression.

Main duties of the job
* Deliver comprehensive assessments and management plans for CHR-P patients.
* Contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative interventions, including a trial of the ketogenic diet in early psychosis.
* Collaborate on big-data projects with Akrivia Health, focusing on the transition from CAMHS to AMHS and predictive modelling of severe mental illness.
* Gain access to large international datasets such as Pronet/AMP Schizophrenia, enabling cross-cohort analyses and cutting-edge biomarker research.
* Engage with international collaborative networks in preventive psychiatry and psychosis research.
* Work as a sub-investigator on experimental medicine studies.
* Participate in teaching, training, and supervision of students within Oxford University programmes.
