You will be instrumental in the development of our paediatric service, joining a collaborative and supportive clinical team that already provides complex care for adult and mental health service users. You will be supported by our in-house Clinical Team and experienced Complex Care Coordinators to deliver exceptional care to children and their families. About Us Airmid Staffing is a nationwide provider of complex care services across physical and mental health needs. We work with a diverse range of clients, including those supported through Personal Health Budgets (PHBs), Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding, case management, and private arrangements. Our services are tailored, compassionate, and focused on ensuring clients feel safe, supported, and respected during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. As a Regional Lead, you will develop and manage a defined team, monitor performance, and ensure our care delivery meets and exceeds professional standards. The most rewarding aspect of this role is the real difference you will make in people’s lives—empowering carers, setting high standards, and helping to elevate Airmid Staffing as a leader in complex care. Main Purpose of the Role: Provide clinical leadership and direction to care and support staff. Maintain clinical accountability for complex paediatric care packages in the community. Ensure appropriate staff placement and oversee service user safety and experience. Deliver evidence-based nursing care and support safe, supervised services. Train and develop carers and nurses, facilitating training when required. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop detailed electronic care plans. Identify and escalate safeguarding issues according to company policy. Participate in regional or local on-call rotas as needed. Foster relationships with multi-disciplinary teams and drive service improvement. Lead, support, and expand the clinical team to ensure continuity of care. General Duties: Act professionally and in accordance with the NMC Code. Ensure care staff maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation. Conduct initial service user assessments and write individualized risk assessments. Meet and induct new carers/nurses promptly to ensure readiness for practice. Ensure quick response to emergencies by the clinical team. Manage PPE supply and compliance with disposal protocols. Perform regular performance appraisals and obtain service user/family feedback. Support compliance during external regulatory inspections. Clinical Leadership Responsibilities: Lead the nursing team with a clear clinical vision. Assess and develop personalised care plans for paediatric patients. Monitor outcomes and adjust care plans to improve service user wellbeing. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to coordinate holistic care. Maintain and update clinical records in line with professional standards. Skills and Qualifications Valid Nursing Registration (NMC). Minimum of 2 years of experience in paediatric nursing. Previous experience in a clinical lead or leadership role is highly desirable. Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of paediatric complex care. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Competency in risk assessment, medication administration, and electronic care planning. What We Offer A supportive working environment with access to ongoing professional development. The opportunity to shape and grow a new paediatric clinical service. A collaborative, kind, and compassionate team dedicated to improving lives.
