We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our client’s well-established and successful business. This is a fantastic opportunity to take charge of the company’s transport operations, ensuring they are managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and with the highest level of compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Fleet
* Managing the fleet management system
* Processing defects
* Organising maintenance and servicing
* Booking MOTs
* Reporting incidents and damages related to insurance
* Negotiating maintenance contracts
* Analyzing vehicle performance and product data
* Ensuring FORS vehicles are maintained and documented per specific rules
* Reviewing expenses and recommending cost-saving measures
* Organising the company's own fitter and maintaining a safe and efficient facility
* Ensuring company vehicles are clean and fit for use
Drivers
* Addressing repeated vehicle damage caused by drivers
* Ensuring drivers follow procedures related to fleet compliance (e.g., daily checks)
* Monitoring driver performance via telematics and implementing improvement strategies
* Overseeing vehicle cleanliness and addressing issues with drivers
* Checking driver defect reports and performing gate checks
* Challenging drivers on unreported damage, investigating, and reporting to the transport manager
Compliance
* Preparing for and managing FORS audits
* Managing online O-licence login
* Assisting with O-licence applications and expansions
* Ensuring compliance of all vehicles and drivers as outlined above
* Reviewing and implementing H&S processes as needed
* Reviewing expenses and recommending cost-saving measures
Person specifications:
* Strong administrative skills
* Excellent attention to detail to identify inconsistencies, errors, or emerging issues early
* Basic mechanical understanding
* Confident communicator capable of professionally challenging drivers about vehicle conditions or misuse without conflict
