Are you an experienced operator looking for a new challenge? Our client in Amesbury is currently seeking a skilled Telehandler / 360 Operator to join their team. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity to work in a dynamic recycling environment.
Role Overview:
As a Telehandler / 360 Operator, you will be responsible for operating fixed and mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently under the direction of the Supervisor and Recycling Area Manager. This includes the operation of telehandlers and 360-degree mobile plant machinery. You will also assist with site maintenance, administration, and compliance tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate telehandler and 360 mobile plant machinery safely and as instructed
* Maintain and operate plant and machinery according to manufacturer’s guidelines and company schedules
* Ensure the site, including office, canteen, yard, and toilets, is kept clean and tidy
* Assist the site supervisor with odour monitoring and environmental compliance
* Support weighbridge, office, and other administrative duties, including undertaking these responsibilities in the supervisor’s absence
* Maintain accurate site records and ensure compliance with environmental permits, planning permissions, and health and safety policies
* Coordinate service and maintenance work by third parties following induction and permit-to-work procedures
Requirements:
* Valid authorisation and experience to operate telehandler and 360 mobile plant machinery
* Commitment to health and safety and environmental compliance
* Ability to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the site and facilities
* Strong organisational skills and ability to assist with site administration
* Reliable and able to work effectively in a team environment
