Head of MFL / Modern Foreign Languages Job Description
* Lead MFL across the school – KS3 to KS5
* Develop and manage the progress of a wide MFL curriculum
* Boost the ability of staff – support growth and training
* Lead on enrichment elements of the MFL curriculum – exchange programmes, schools trips, etc.
* Plan and deliver exciting lessons – share practice with partner MFL teachers
* Report to the SLT
* Contribute to the plans of the wider school
* Lead on strategies to boost attainment
* Monitor pupil progress and evaluate progress plans
Head of MFL / Modern Foreign Languages Person Specification
* Must have QTS – Qualified Teacher Status
* Must be an experienced teacher or leader of MFL
* Ability to lead on the academic and enrichment elements of an MFL curriculum
* Must have high standards and expectations
* Understand the demands of the new curriculum
