Primary role: To manage the finance department of J&B, have full control of the Sage function and responsibility for finance reporting as well as providing finance support to the Management team at J&B.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of management accounts
* Month end reporting and analysis both on local and national level
* Preparation of local finance reporting requirements and dealing with any queries from management an group team.
* Ensuring all HMRC reporting is filled correctly
* Management of the Cashflow and its production
* Liaising with external advisors for any Audit and tax requirements.
* Management of the finance team
* Management of the finance systems.
* Responsible for all Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Preparation of budgets
* Ensure all finance procedures are kept up to date and aligned to National procedures
* Provide finance support for other departments of J&B as and when required.
Essential Characteristics:
* Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW) or 3+ years QBE.
* Tenacious, resourceful, and resilient
* Good timekeeping and an ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and ability to present information coherently
* Highly organised, logical with a methodical approach
* Flexible and willing to learn
* Strong Excel and other IT skills
* Great attention to detail
Desirable characteristics:
* Experience R & D working papers
* Good Knowledge of Sage 200
* Knowledge of IFRS standards
