Mobile Air Conditioning Supervisor – Healthcare Dept Location: Mobile role covering multiple hospital sites About the Role We are looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Supervisor to lead and support A/C engineers across a range of healthcare sites. This role ensures that critical ventilation, cooling, and air-handling systems operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with healthcare regulations to support patient safety and clinical performance. You will supervise both mobile and static engineers, oversee maintenance delivery, carry out quality checks, and act as a technical escalation point for complex HVAC issues. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate a team of mobile/static A/C engineers across multiple hospital locations. Oversee planned maintenance (PPM) and ensure timely, high-quality completion of reactive works. Carry out site audits, quality inspections, and ensure compliance with HTM 03-01 and relevant healthcare engineering standards. Provide technical support on A/C, VRV/VRF, split systems, AHUs, and ventilation systems. Lead troubleshooting and support resolution of high-priority issues in clinical spaces (e.g. theatres, isolation rooms, clean rooms). Ensure proper documentation, asset reporting, and statutory compliance records are maintained. Liaise with hospital estates teams, infection control, contractors, and internal management. Support training, mentoring, and performance development of field engineers. Ensure all works follow strict safety, compliance, and infection control requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong Air Conditioning/HVAC background with a minimum level 2 refrigeration and F-Gas Certification (Category 1). Experience working in healthcare facilities or other highly regulated/acute environments Previous supervisory, senior engineer, or team-lead experience (Not essential) Strong understanding of ventilation standards, PPM regimes, and hospital engineering best practice. Full UK driving licence (mobile role). Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently across multiple sites with a customer-focused approach.
