The Role in a Nutshell ️ To grow, develop, and retain a profitable portfolio of mid-market customers through proactive, telephony-based account management. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities through cross-selling and upselling. Requirements Manage a defined portfolio of mid-market customers, acting as their primary point of contact. Drive revenue growth by identifying and converting new business opportunities within existing and new accounts. Maintain accurate and timely records in the Salesforce system to support forecasting and pipeline visibility. Build strong, trust-based relationships through regular telephony-based engagement. Resolve customer queries, complaints, and issues efficiently and professionally. Prioritise customer engagement based on data insights and business value. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Operations, Sales Support) to ensure service excellence and data accuracy. Provide accurate sales forecasts on a daily and weekly basis. Sales goals: Achievement of monthly revenue targets as defined by the business. Contribution to a £5 million annual revenue target through effective pipeline management. High levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Accurate Salesforce data to support business planning and reporting. Increased customer lifetime value through strategic account development. Key ingredients for the role ✅ Proven experience in a sales or account management environment. ✅ Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills. ✅ Commercially minded with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities. ✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce systems. ✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ✅ Ability to manage large datasets and extract actionable insights. ✅ Knowledge of the UK energy market and supplier propositions is desirable.
