Personal Assistant / Carer - Winwick, Warrington, Ref: WMB/01/LS

* 1 x 30 hours per week

Personal Assistants required for various shifts/days to support a 25 year old male who lives with his parents and sister in his lovely family home in the Winwick, Warrington.
Job Summary:
The client is looking for 1 new PAs/Carers to join his care team, there are a range of shifts available.
The total hours required by the team of PAs are approximately as above (though hours negotiable for the right applicant):
Hours will be flexible with some doubling up.
The client loves going out to the cinema and being active. He needs support from carers who share the same interests and who can keep him safe at all times (as he is not aware of the risks and dangers around him). He will need support with personal care and a person who is comfortable with supporting people who are non-verbal.
The client has an open stoma where he once had a tracheostomy. Knowledge of stoma care would be beneficial, however successful applicants will be trained in stoma care as he sometimes needs oxygen administration/support.
Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
* Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with special needs or challenging behaviours.
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
* Support families by providing regular updates on client progress and well-being.
Experience:
· Previous experience in caregiving roles such as supporting people with a Learning Disability and Autism. Experience is preferred but not essential, as support and training can be provided for candidates with the right ethos and motivation to learn.
* Knowledge of first aid principles is beneficial for ensuring client safety.
