Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a qualified Electrical Engineer, to cover survey and maintenance on behalf of our prestigious client.
In this role, you will travel to residential sites across the UK and conduct surveys to create realistic installation plans for electric vehicle infrastructure.
As this is a field-based role, you will need a valid UK driving licence and be commutable to London / Hertfordshire for office days.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with industry experience doing surveys, maintenance testing and has a strong knowledge of the 18th edition wiring regulations.
Duties:
- Conduct site surveys at multi-dwelling residential developments across the UK
- Identify power supplies and complete load testing
- Analyse survey data and prepare reports, maps, and plans
- Collaborate with property managers and members of the team to provide accurate survey information
- Draft project scope of works with electrical regulations and requirements
- Ensure compliance with company regulations and standards in surveying and installation practices
- Maintain accurate records of survey and installation data
- Complete company asset maintenance using specialist equipment provided
- Provide support and assistance to company approved contractors during installation phase
Requirements
Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualified Electrician
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging industry (preferable)
- Must be computer-literate to carry out surveying paperwork and day-to-day tasks
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Experience in conducting site surveys and using surveying equipment (i.e. load testing)
- Strong problem-solving mindset to ensure the most cost-effective routes are suggested
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure precision in measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing electrical installations
