We are currently looking for an Amada Brake Press and Laser Operator to join us in Heywood working within a growing team.
This is a permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week).

Our clean, bright 63,000 sq.ft site in Heywood, Lancashire is the largest containment factory in the North West, just minutes from the M66 and M62. We have invested £1m in our facility, with state of the art machinery and great staff facilities including showers, canteen and plenty of on-site parking.

Your Role
In your role as a Press Brake and Laser Operator, you will be:
* Responsible working on one or more machines, such as Guillotine,Press Brake and Laser Cutter
* Setting, programming and operating the machines as required
* Working to engineering drawings
* Feeding goods, cutting and bending metal components as required
* Inspecting parts
* Working on mild steel and stainless steel as required
* Working to specified deadlines and required quality standards
* Working to the required manufacturing output
* Working in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE
* Minimising the amount of wastage
* Notifying of any shortages in regular materials used
* Liaising with other teams to ensure acceptable throughput
* Ensuring the company’s quality assurance system is adhered to
* Carrying out general housekeeping and clearing the workspace as required
About You
The ideal candidate would have the following attributes and experience:
* Ideally experience in working within a machinist role
* CNC Amada Press Brake setting and operating
* Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings
* Be hard working and motivated
* Have a keen eye for detail and able to work to deadlines
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
