Business Development Manager – Manufacturing Barnsley (Hybrid – Office, Home & Field Based) £45,000 – £50,000 The Role: We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager who will lead the charge in both winning new business and growing existing accounts. You’ll be working in a hybrid model — part in-office, part remote, and part in the field visiting clients — to deliver sales growth and build long-term partnerships. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement sales strategies to meet growth targets * Identify new business opportunities in manufacturing, engineering and industrial markets * Manage and expand existing customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business * Prepare and present tailored sales proposals and quotations * Coordinate with internal teams (operations, pricing, delivery) to meet customer requirements * Represent RD Linings at client meetings, industry events and on-site visits What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in business development, sales or account management preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment * Solid commercial awareness * Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills * Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently and in a hybrid setup * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client visits What’s On Offer: * Basic salary £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience) * Bonus scheme * Company car * Hybrid working (office, home & field) — flexibility in how you work If you are a proactive business development professional with a manufacturing or engineering sales background and you’re ready to take your next career step with RD Linings, then we’d love to hear from you
