Restaurant Manager
The Chef's Table by Josh Barnes, Swinton Estate
Location: Swinton Estate, North Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, permanent, 45 hours over 4 days
Salary of £31,000 per annum plus tronc
Swinton Estate is home to one of Yorkshire's most exciting dining experiences: The Chef's Table by Josh Barnes. Offering a unique, intimate tasting journey where guests sit at the heart of the kitchen, The Chef's Table celebrates exceptional seasonal produce, creative flair, and outstanding hospitality.
We are now looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team and deliver an unforgettable dining experience for every guest.
The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will:
* Take overall responsibility for the smooth daily operation of The Chef's Table.
* Lead, inspire, and develop a small, dedicated front-of-house team.
* Ensure the highest standards of service, attention to detail, and guest engagement.
* Work closely with Chef Josh Barnes and the kitchen team to deliver a seamless guest journey.
* Manage reservations, guest communications, and the overall atmosphere of the dining room.
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and service planning.
* Uphold Swinton Estate's values of sustainability, professionalism, and warm Yorkshire hospitality.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
* Proven experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality management.
* A passion for food, wine, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
* Exceptional leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
* The ability to remain calm, professional, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings (WSET qualification desirable).
* A hands-on, guest-focused approach with a genuine love of hospitality.
