Duties
* Lead the development of engineering-ready part lists and detailed specifications as the Lead Product/Application Engineer
* Maintain supplier quotes and manage supplier costing to optimise budgets
* Prepare order acknowledgements and documentation for customer approval
* Track quotation progress and report on customer conversion rates
* Liaise with clients regarding product specifications and technical requirements
* Facilitate effective communication between Sales, Engineering, and Production teams
* Sign off on build documentation and engineering specifications
* Manage product specifications within the engineering team
* Oversee high‑value parts lists and product matrix control
* Prepare comprehensive sales quotations for customers and internal stakeholders
* Support team operations and undertake additional duties as required within your expertise
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Lead Product/Application Engineer, or similar role within manufacturing or vehicle bodybuilding sectors
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership and guide cross‑departmental teams
* Knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
* Proficiency in CAD software with the ability to produce precise engineering plans
* Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently
* High attention to detail ensuring accuracy of documentation and regulatory compliance
* Effective communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with clients and suppliers
* Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
* Professional integrity paired with a strong sense of accountability
