About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools in Warkworth on a full-time and long‑term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long‑term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
Responsibilities
* Planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allow all pupils to make progress regardless of ability levels.
* Stretching and challenging the learning and progress of all pupils.
* Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
* Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
* Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
* Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress.
* Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
* Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience.
About the School
* The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Warkworth.
* The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract
* Pay: Between £130–200 per day.
* Hours: 08.30–16.00.
* Contract: Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
* Start Date: January 2026.
* Location: Warkworth.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements
* An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but not essential).
* QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
* Previous experience of Teaching Reception Class (desirable).
* Experience of short, medium and long‑term planning.
* Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress.
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
* Strong relationship‑building skills with an ability to build rapport.
* Experience of Teaching within the UK.
* Strong organisation and communication skills.
